Sony has just taken the wraps off of two new home audio products, the HT-A9 Home Theater System, and the HT-A7000 Soundbar, both of which support Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision among many other technologies. Making these some really impressive products to add to your home theater.
Of course, with that comes a price. And these aren’t cheap. The HT-A7000 will be priced at $1299 and available in September/October 2021. While the HT-A9 Home Theater System will be available for $1799, also in September/October 2021.
The HT-A9 sports Sony’s Unique 360 Spatial Sound Mapping Technology. It also has a very versatile layout with Simple Setup. This system is going to be great for those that have a home theater in their basement or elsewhere in their home. As it’s going to provide some really incredible surround sound. It of course, is compatible with Sony TVs, as well as just about any other TV that you might have at home.
The HT-A7000 might be the new soundbar to beat
While we have not been able to test out the HT-A7000 yet, it does seem to be the new soundbar to beat. And at this price, it should be.
Like the HT-A9, it does support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It also has Google Chromecast built-in for streaming audio. Sony hasn’t forgotten about voice control either, with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa available on the HT-A7000. It sports an Omnidirectional Block Design, and provides immersive music, film and game quality.
So while neither of these new products from Sony are cheap – which we’ve come to expect that from Sony at this point – these are really impressive. And for those that are making their own home theater, or really want a good upgrade on TV audio in their home, this is the way to do it.
They’ll be available in September or October, at the usual retailers.
