Popular audio chatting social platform, Clubhouse is getting a new feature. Starting October, some new features including the ability to record conversations are arriving for Clubhouse.
Recording conversations is one of the features that Clubhouse users have been demanding for quite some time now. Fast forward to now, the company is all set to introduce the new feature for its platform this month.
After the arrival of this new recording feature, you will be able to record a room. Moreover, you can save it to your profile/club, or even download it. This is a nifty feature if you want to go over the conversation once again, you had with your colleagues, etc.
The Clubhouse is calling this feature ‘Replays.’ Do note that only creators or moderators will be able to use this feature in a room. Besides, they are the ones who can toggle this feature on or off. Another important thing, rooms must be public in order for the recording feature to work.
Not only conversation recording, but the Clubhouse app is also gaining a feature where users can create a 30-second clip in a room and share it with other members.
Users will also be able to search for rooms, people, clubs, etc. using keywords
According to The Verge, the app will also receive the ability to allow users to search for rooms, people, clubs, bios, etc. using the keywords or type a name.
It will allow them to quickly join a room, connect with new people, or look for profiles. Last but not the least, spatial audio, which was introduced for iOS devices in August, is coming for Android users as well.
In order to create a 30-second clip, you need to tap on the scissor icon. It will let you create a 30-second audio clip, which you can share as well as download for personal use.
With the help of this audio clip feature, users will be able to promote their Clubhouse rooms by sharing a gist of the conversation that will be the topic of discussion. So, it will attract more audience to join their rooms.
All these new features bring Clubhouse back to the top and in line with its competitors, including Twitter Spaces and Spotify’s Greenroom.
Though Clubhouse has been the top favorite of users who wish to record podcasts or other audio content, its competitors have also gained several new features, giving it an edge-to-edge fight. All new features are set to arrive for Clubhouse users very soon.
