TCL Unveils 5 New 30 Series Phones

MWC, one of the year’s biggest smartphone events, is here, and TCL has some new and exciting devices for us. The company just unveiled its TCL 30 series of midrange smartphones, and they all come with decent specs and features.

The TCL 30 series smartphones are true-to-form midrange phones

We know TCL as the company that makes amazing TVs, but the company also made a splash in the smartphone market a while back. While the company has some flagship phones under its belt, it also makes phones for the budget market.

TCL just unveiled its new 30 series of smartphones, and they all occupy a similar space in the midrange market. Regardless of the market, TCL introduces these phones as inexpensive with some premium features. Most of those features lie in the cameras.

All of these phones (except for the TCL 30 E) have a triple-camera setup with a 50MP main camera accompanied by 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The E model only has the main camera and the depth sensor. In the advertisements, TCL boasts the added sharpness of the 50MP lens (however, we don’t know if it bins down to a lower resolution), the low light performance, and the AI features. If these cameras are any good, they might be a selling point for these phones.

Don’t expect great performance from these phones

All five of these models use MediaTek processors, and they are pretty middle-of-the-road at that. Not only that, but you’re not getting much RAM or storage with these phones. All but the E model will have 4GB of RAM. The TCL 30 E will have 3GB of RAM. All phones will come with 64GB of storage with the exception of the TCL 30+ and the TCL 30 SE. The Plus has 128GB and the SE has both 64GB and 128GB.
