Glorious PC Gaming is launching a new mouse today called the Model I, and it comes with some really cool features like hot swappable buttons on the side that attach to the mouse with magnets. We love a good magnet-enhanced piece of tech. Which is what makes the new Glorious Model I an eye catching peripheral for PC gaming.
Granted, you’re not going to be staring at it much since your hand will be on it most of the time. But the ability to quickly swap buttons will certainly adds a convenience factor to the mouse’s user experience.
In total there are four buttons on the side, and two of them are attached with magnets. For those two buttons, the Model I has four additional buttons that can be swapped. Two that offer a flat surface and two that have a more concaved and contoured surface that your thumbs sort of fit into.
While the buttons are the most unique feature, they’re hardly the only thing worth looking at this mouse for.
The Glorious Model I is an affordable Lightweight gaming mouse
The swappable side buttons are definitely a nice feature, but Glorious is also targeting this mouse at players who want something lightweight. And at just 69 grams, this is definitely a lightweight mouse. That bodes well for anyone who prefers mouse movement to be a little more free and potentially precise.
Part of that lightweight frame is due to the honeycomb design pattern on the top of the mouse. Which also serves to help with airflow to keep the mouse running a little cooler and more importantly, provide your hand with some airflow to prevent sweating.
Worth noting is that this is a wired mouse as well. And although it doesn’t come in a wireless model, it does come in two optional colors. Black and White.
The Glorious Model I is on sale from today and can be picked up directly from Glorious PC Gaming for $59.99. It should eventually be available on Amazon as well since Glorious sells its other products there. Including one of our favorite gaming keyboards.
