The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will feature a less visible crease, it seems. This is something we’ve expected to happen, based on the rumors thus far. One of the best-known tipsters did confirm it now, though.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 will feature a less visible crease
This information comes from Ice Universe. He said that the “crease of Galaxy Z Fold 4 looks slightly better than Fold 3”. He did note that you can still see the crease, though.
So, the crease won’t be gone completely, of course. That is not something that a single OEM managed to achieve just yet, even though some came close to it. It remains to be seen how visible will it be.
The “looks slightly better” part is a bit concerning, to be quite honest. The Galaxy Z Fold 3’s crease is extremely visible compared to the competition. OPPO, Vivo, and HONOR did a great job on their foldables when the crease is concerned.
Let’s hope that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will feature something similar. It’s possible its crease will be more visible, though. Why? Well, it’s quite likely Samsung won’t use the waterdrop-style hinge, mainly due to the water and dust resistance rating. That’s our guess, at least.
The device is expected to launch in August
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to launch in August, and it already surfaced in CAD-based renders. Those renders, of course, can’t give us the real story when it comes to its crease. We’ll have to wait for real-life images.
The device will look somewhat similar to its predecessor, but it will offer a more boxy design, and a different-looking rear camera setup. It will also feature wider displays.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 will fuel the device. You can also expect high-end specifications all around, of course. Android 12 will come pre-installed on the device, with Samsung’s One UI skin. If you’d like to know more about it, check out our Galaxy Z Fold 4 preview.
