Google has decided to highlight its ‘Photo Unblur’ feature from the Pixel 7 in a new video ad. The company has published this 30-second video on YouTube, and it also features the Magic Eraser feature.

Google shows off its ‘Photo Unblur’ feature in a new video ad

As many of you know, Google debuted a truly compelling new software feature with the Pixel 7 series, the so-called ‘Photo Unblur’. That is just one of the features that got announced, but it’s one of the most compelling ones.

It can help you unblur your photos, basically. It not only unblurs faces, like the Face Unblur feature, but images in general. Best of all, this feature can help you unblur any image, not just the ones taken with the Pixel 7 series. So, you can technically pull out some old photos and try to improve them with AI.

In this ad, Google shows a number of examples of this feature in action. These are all the examples that we’ve seen during the company’s presentation. If you haven’t watched it, though, here you go, the video is embedded below the article.

This feature will likely trickle down to older Pixels

Google did not confirm whether this feature will be making its way to older Pixels, but chances are it will. Google will likely keep this feature exclusive to the Pixel 7 series for a while, and then push it to other Pixels.

That’s what the company did in the past, with other features that it announced. So, we’re guessing the same will happen again. Anyhow, the Magic Eraser feature also got demoed in this ad.

Magic Eraser is not exactly a new feature, but it is immensely useful and it has been further improved. You’ll see people and objects removed from the background in some of Google’s examples shown in this video.

Features like Photo Unblur and Magic Eraser are some of the selling points of Google’s Pixel phones, of course. We’ve reviewed both the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, if you’d like to check those out.
