Galaxy Book 3 key specs revealed ahead of February 1 launch

Samsung is gearing up to launch its Galaxy Book 3 series Windows laptops soon. The new computers will debut during its Galaxy Unpacked event on February 1, the same event where the company will take wraps off the Galaxy S23 series flagships. Unlike the new phones, the upcoming laptops haven’t gotten much attention from the leaks world. But a couple of weeks ahead of the launch, we now have some of the key specs of the Galaxy Book 3 lineup.

Leak reveals key Galaxy Book 3 specs

For starters, Samsung is readying five new laptops: Galaxy Book 3, Galaxy Book 3 360, Galaxy Book 3 Pro, Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360, and Galaxy Book 3 Ultra. The “360” models are convertible versions of the respective machines. The screen on these laptops can be folded to use in tablet mode. MySmartPrice reports that the Galaxy Book 3 and Book 3 360 will feature 15-inch screens, while the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 and Book 3 Ultra will get 16-inch displays. The Galaxy Book 3 Pro will be available in 14-inch and 16-inch screen sizes.

The new report goes into more detail about the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360. Its 16-inch screen reportedly is a Super AMOLED panel and boasts a 3K resolution (2880 x 1800 pixels). The touchscreen display supports S Pen input. The accessory comes bundled in the retail box but there’s no dedicated slot to keep it. So you’ll have to be careful to not lose it. Samsung will offer this laptop in two processor variants — 13th Gen Intel Evo Core i5-1340P and Core i7-1360. Both options will feature integrated Iris Xe graphics, up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 1TB NVMe SSD PCIe Gen 4 storage.

The Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 will ship with Windows 11 Home edition pre-installed. The device will boast an AKT-tuned quad stereo speaker setup. It will reportedly support Dolby Atmos audio as well. For power, Samsung will pack a 76WHr battery inside this machine. The laptop supports 65W fast charging. The whole package is just about 13mm thick and weighs 1.6 Kg. Recent reports say the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra will also be pretty slim and lightweight despite being the highest-specced model in the lineup. Samsung seems to be focusing on portability here.

The Galaxy Book 2 Go may also debut next month

Along with these five Galaxy Book 3 series laptops, Samsung will reportedly also launch a few Galaxy Book 2 Go models. These are likely watered-down versions of 2022 Galaxy Book 2 models. With the Galaxy Unpacked approaching fast, we may hear more about these devices in the coming days. Even if the new laptops remain off the leaks radar, the Galaxy S23 series certainly won’t. We will keep you posted.
