OnePlus Tablet leak shows us official design, official name

[Update: A new leak shows that this tablet will be landscape]

OnePlus fans should be getting excited right about now, as we’re anticipating the launch of the company’s newest products soon. Among the devices we expect to launch next month, we’re looking for the long-awaited OnePlus tablet. Well, thanks to a new leak from Techradar, we now have the official name and design for the OnePlus Tablet.

On Wednesday, a leak spilled the beans on when this device, along with the OnePlus 11 5G, OnePlus R11 5G, and OnePlus Buds Pro 2 should launch. If the leak is true, then we’re looking at a February 7th launch. That places it at just under three weeks away. Since that information wasn’t confirmed, you’ll want to take it with a grain of salt.

New OnePlus tablet leak reveals the name and design

A leaked promotional image lets us know that the company is dubbing this the OnePlus Pad. That’s one of the names that we expected for the longest time, and it’s not a bad name. It definitely rolls off of the tongue easier than “Lenovo Tab P11 Pro” (in any case, you can check out our review of the Tab P11 Pro right here.)

The promotional image shows the tablet from two angles with the text “OnePlus Pad: Smooth without equal”. We’re wondering what the “Smooth” in the copy means. It could possibly allude to the performance, hinting at a powerful flagship or upper-tier midrange processor. Either that or it could hint at the tablet coming with a display with a high refresh rate.

Now, moving on to the design, this teaser tells us a fair bit about this tablet’s design. For starters, the OnePlus Pad will primarily be held in portrait orientation rather than landscape. The camera is right in the center of the rather than in a corner. Also, we see the OnePlus logo standing upright.

Looking at how the back material plays with the light, it appears that it will have a glass back. Also, if you look at the edges of the device, it looks like the back material has a 2.5D curve to meet the frame. You see that with glass, but there’s still the chance that it’s plastic.

Moving onto the front, the only thing that we can glean is that there will be moderately-sized bezels. They look like they’ll be big enough for the tablet to be held comfortably.

At this point, we don’t have any word on the price of this device, but we don’t expect OnePlus‘ first tablet to cost iPad or Galaxy Tab money. As for availability, it seems that this tablet will launch in India and China, but we don’t know where else.
