PlayStation Plus games that are coming to the game catalog in January have officially been announced by Sony today and there are a couple of must-play titles. The PlayStation Plus game catalog for January has 9 games in total being added to the lists. More than a few of them have oodles of charm and are worthy of your time and attention. But of those, a few stand out more than others.
For those new to PlayStation Plus, the game catalog is a new collection of games that you get as part of your subscription. You need to subscribe to the PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium plans to access the catalog though. You can learn more about those plans here if you’re interested. One other thing to keep in mind is that games don’t stick around forever. Sony rotates titles in and out on a regular basis. Some games however, do stick around longer than others. Here’s what to look forward to this month.
the PlayStation Plus game catalog for January includes Devil May Cry 5
If you like action games, then do not miss your chance to play Devil May Cry 5 this month. Provided you haven’t already played it. It delivers masterful combat sequences and has some excellent graphics. This is easily one of the best games being added to the catalog. But there are some other noteworthy gems.
Life Is Strange and Life Is Strange: Before The Storm from Square Enix are both joining the catalog as well. And you’ll find some great player-driven narrative moments in both titles. Another Square Enix title is being added with Just Cause 4. Delivering over-the-top action in an open-world sandbox setting.
The remaining titles coming to the catalog include Back 4 Blood, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Jett: The Far Shore, Omno, and Erica. Those are also just the games in the regular catalog. For Premium subscribers, there’s a few new games being added to the Classics Catalog. Including Syphon Filter 3, Star Wars Demolition, and Hot Shots Golf 2.
You can read a little more about each title on the official PlayStation Blog post.
