TCL announces the new TCL ION X

TCL has made a name for itself as a great TV manufacturer, but it also has several smartphones on the market. The company just announced its newest smartphone that’s going to hit the market. It’s called the TCL ION X, and it promises a feature-rich experience.

This phone will be available to buy from Metro by T-Mobile starting on January 26th. When it launches, the phone will only cost you $119.

The TCL ION X will bring a solid mid-range experience

Starting off with this phone’s design, we’re seeing a pretty unique aesthetic. The back of the device looks like it’s covered in a rugged material, so you won’t have to worry about this phone if you have the occasional drop.

Looking at the specs, you shouldn’t expect this phone to be a workhorse, but it will be enough to get you through the day. It has a moderately sized 6-inch display with an HD+ resolution. That resolution isn’t the best, but TCL’s devices do have nice display quality. The TCL Stylus is a good example.

As for the other specs, some of the information is still scarce. We’re looking at a mid-range MediaTek processor that’s backed up by 3GB of RAM. We don’t know how much storage comes with this phone, but we expect it to be between 64GB and 128GB.

Moving onto the battery, this phone has a battery capacity that you probably haven’t seen in a while. It has a 3,000mAh battery. That’s really small by mid-range phone standards, but the 720p display should help with the battery mileage.

As for the camera, the TCL ION X comes with a single-camera package. There’s a 13MP camera on the back that uses AI scene detection. On the front, there’s a 5MP selfie camera that you use for the face unlock feature.

So, it’s obvious that this phone isn’t for the power users out there. However, it should be a nice and affordable phone for someone who just needs to get through the day.
