The Motorola Edge 40 Pro surfaced online with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC
The Motorola Edge 40 Pro, as many of you probably already know, will essentially be a global variant of the Motorola Moto X40. That handset launched in China back in December. We already know what to expect in terms of specs and design thanks to that, and Geekbench just confirmed some of that info.
The Motorola Edge 40 Pro will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, and will offer up to 12GB of RAM, or only 12GB of RAM, it remains to be seen. Android 13 will come pre-installed on the device. That is the spec info that surfaced on Geekbench.
The phone managed to score 1,480 points in the single-core benchmark, and 4,889 points in the multi-core benchmark. Do take those results with a grain of salt, as it’s possible this is a pre-release unit.
It will essentially be the Motorola Moto X40 with global software on it
The phone itself will have a curved display, and a centered display camera hole. The bezels will be very thin, and three cameras will sit on the back. This device will be made out of metal and glass.
If the Motorola Moto X40 is any indication, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch fullHD+ display with a 165Hz refresh rate. This will be an OLED display, by the way.
A 4,600mAh battery will also be included, and the phone will support 125W wired charging will be supported. 15W wireless charging is also expected, as is 5W reverse wired charging.
We’re still not sure when will the Motorola Edge 40 Pro launch, but it’s not far off, that’s for sure.
