OnePlus Buds Pro 2 brings Google's Spatial Audio for under $200

OnePlus announced a handful of things today at its event, including the new OnePlus Buds Pro 2. These are their new “pro” earbuds, that also feature Google’s Spatial Audio and MelodyBoost dual drivers. Which are used to take the auditory experience to new heights.

The company is touting that you’ll get audiophile-grade wireless sound with the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. Inside the earbuds, you’ll find a dual-driver system that includes an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter. This enables the earbuds to handle high and low frequencies with ease. Giving you a much better listening experience.

These are one of the first pairs of earbuds to use Google’s signature Spatial Audio function that was released with Android 13. With Google, OnePlus was able to optimize the Spatial Audio of the Buds Pro 2 series to simulate the immersive multi-dimensional experience found in theaters.

OnePlus has also included smart ANC here on the Buds Pro 2. It is able to eliminate ambient noise up to 48dB and a 4kHz maximum width. With this ultra-high frequency depth of the noise cancellation feature, means even sounds like human voices can be better tuned out. Giving you a more immersive experience. Users are in control to manually adjust the noise cancellation settings to their needs. OnePlus Buds Pro 2 also use Google’s Fast Pair, making it easier than ever to pair to your favorite smartphone.

Finally, let’s talk about battery life. You’ll get about 39 hours of music playback with the included charging case. It also does fast charging, where you can get 10 hours of playtime from a 10-minute charge. Which is really impressive.

When can I buy the OnePlus Buds Pro 2?

Pre-orders for the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will start today at OnePlus.com and Amazon. They will start shipping by February 16. Pricing for the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 is pretty competitive, at $179, or $269 in Canada. Making them pretty competitive for a pair of “pro” earbuds.
