The Motorola Edge 40 Pro has just surfaced yet again, this time around in seemingly official renders. There are 8 new images here, and they’ve been shared by Evan Blass, a well-known tipster.
The Motorola Edge 40 Pro design shown once again in official-looking renders
Motorola is playing it safe with the design here. The Motorola Edge 40 Pro will look like many other flagships, for the most part. It will have symmetrically curved front and back sides, and a camera island in the top-left corner of its back side.
Three cameras will sit inside of that camera island, while the phone’s bezels will be very thin. A centered display camera hole is also visible here, while the phone’s display will be curved.
One of these renders does confirm that the phone will be water and dust resistant. We are expecting to see an IP68 certification here. One of the renders also confirms that a 50-megapixel main camera will be in use.
The Motorola Edge 40 Pro specs did surface quite a few times thus far, so we do know what to expect. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will almost certainly fuel the phone, while you can expect LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage to be in use. Motorola will most likely utilize 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
A 165Hz OLED display is expected, along with 125W charging
A 6.67-inch fullHD+ OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate is expected. The Gorilla Glass Victus will most likely protect that panel. Android 13 will come pre-installed on the phone, while two nano SIM card slots are also expected.
A 4,600mAh battery is rumored, while the phone will support 125W fast wired charging, and 15W wireless charging. Reverse wireless charging is also expected, while the charger will be a part of the package.
A 50-megapixel main camera will be backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera, allegedly. A 60-megapixel selfie camera was also mentioned.
The Motorola Edge 40 Pro will feature stereo speakers, with Dolby Atmos support. The phone is said to measure 161.3 x 73.9 x 8.5mm, and weigh a bit under 200 grams. This handset could launch at some point this month.
