Samsung pushes One UI 5.1 to Galaxy A52 5G & Galaxy Tab S7

Samsung‘s One UI 5.1 rollout continues today with the update reaching the Galaxy A52 5G and the Galaxy Tab S7 series. The new One UI version has already been rolled out to dozens of other flagship and mid-range models, including the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy A53 5G, and the Galaxy Tab S8 series.

The Galaxy A52 5G seems to be initially picking up One UI 5.1 in Asia. As of this writing, Samsung hasn’t updated its update tracker to reflect the rollout. But a user sent screenshots to SamMobile showing that the phone is getting the big update in the UAE. The new firmware build number for the phone in the region is A526BXXU2EWB1. The rollout should soon cross boundaries to other markets, including the US. The One UI 5.1 update should also be available for the 4G-only Galaxy A52 in the coming days. Note that the 4G model wasn’t released in the US.

For users with a Galaxy Tab S7 or Galaxy Tab S7+, the One UI 5.1 update arrives with firmware version T***XXU2DWB2 (via). Those asterisks (*) will change according to your model and connectivity variant (Wi-Fi or cellular). Samsung is already pushing the release widely in Europe and South Korea. The update should go global very shortly. The Galaxy Tab S7 series arrived in the US too. As said earlier, the Korean firm has already released One UI 5.1 for the Galaxy Tab S8 series. By the looks of it, The Galaxy Tab S7 FE is the next in the pipeline. We will keep you posted.

One UI 5.1 brings tons of goodies to Galaxy devices

One UI 5.1 is the latest iteration of Samsung’s Android-based custom software. Debited with the Galaxy S23 series last month, the new version brings enhancements to the Camera, Gallery, Samsung Internet, Samsung Notes, Widgets, Wallpapers, Bixby Text Call, and multitasking features. The Galaxy A52 5G and Galaxy Tab S7 are also getting the February security patch with this release. It fixes more than 50 vulnerabilities, including a few critical ones.

All of these new features and security enhancements will reach Galaxy A52 5G, Galaxy Tab S7, and Galaxy Tab S7+ users around the world within the next few weeks. As usual, the firmware version will vary depending on the model and market, but the content will largely remain unchanged. You can check for updates manually from the Software update section in the Settings app of your Galaxy device.
