Ulefone has announced a new rugged smartphone, the Armor 20WT. This phone actually brings the walkie-talkie feature to the table, like several previous phones from the company did. The Armor 3WT is a good example, and it has been quite some time since it arrived.
The Ulefone Armor 20WT include a walkie-talkie function
The Ulefone Armor 20WT comes with a detachable antenna for walkie-talkie function, and it does look like a rugged phone. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, as it does look rather nice, just different than your regular phone.
It has a waterdrop display notch, and a pronounced frame around the phone. It is worth noting that this phone also supports thermal imaging, thanks to a thermal imaging sensor.
Thanks to its walkie-talkie functionality, this phone allows for real-time communication by one-key PTT between two or more parties at the same time. It also supports DMR digital mode, in addition to the analog mode.
This is a proper rugged phone
It is MIL-STD-810H and IP68/IP69K certified. So not only is it water and dust resistant, but it can take a hit as well. Android 12 comes pre-installed on the device, while the Helio G99 SoC fuels it.
The phone has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. There are two SIM card slots on offer here, and a third slot is for the microSD card (up to 2TB). A 5.65-inch fullHD+ LCD display is on offer here.
A 50-megapixel main camera sits on the back, a single camera, actually. A 16-megapixel selfie camera can be found on the phone’s front side. A side-facing fingerprint scanner is included here, while the device also has an LED notification light.
A gigantic 10,850mAh battery is also a part of the package
On top of all that, Ulefone also included a gigantic battery here, a 10,850mAh unit. The device does come with a charger, and it supports 33W wired charging.
Stereo speakers are also included, and Bluetooth 5.2 is supported on the Ulefone Armor 20WT. The phone measures 164.8 x 79.2 x 18.15mm, and weighs 381.4 grams, mainly thanks to a gigantic battery.
