You can watch Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi 13 Ultra live, via YouTube
The press event will start at 7 PM GMT+8 aka China time. That translates to 1 PM CET / noon BST / 7 AM EST / 4 AM PST, in case you were wondering. The Xiaomi Band 8 will get announced alongside the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, by the way.
Now, we do know that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will launch in both China and globally, but we’re not sure about the Xiaomi Band 8. Xiaomi’s global social media accounts have been teasing the phone only, not the fitness band. So, its launch may be exclusive to China, for now, we’ll see. It is, for sure, coming to global markets, though.
Having said that, Xiaomi already confirmed a lot of info about the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. On top of that, the phone surfaced a number of times thus far too. It will improve upon what the Xiaomi 13 Pro offered, spec-wise, mainly when it comes to the cameras.
It will include four cameras on the back, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC & much more
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will feature four cameras on the back. A main 1-inch 50-megapixel sensor (Sony’s IMX989), with variable aperture. Three Sony IMX858 camera sensors will be added too. Those three sensors will be for ultrawide, telephoto, and periscope cameras, by the way.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will fuel this phone, while you can expect to get LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage. The phone itself will look different than the Xiaomi 13 Pro, with a circular camera island on the back. It will also include a vegan leather backplate on the back.
A 4,900mAh battery is tipped, along with 90W wired, and 50W wireless charging. Yes, a charger will be included in the box. A 6.73-inch QHD+ AMOLED display will also be a part of the package. It will offer a 120Hz refresh rate (adaptive), and will be curved too.
Xiaomi will share a lot more information later today, as the event is only two hours away at the moment. Follow along via the link below, and we’ll also report back later on, of course.
