Samsung is still offering a free memory upgrade with the Galaxy S23 Ultra in the US, at least on one color variant. The Sky Blue variant of the phone with 512GB of storage is currently available at just $1,199.99, the same price as the 256GB model. You’re essentially paying for 256GB of storage and getting a free memory upgrade to 512GB of storage. That’s an instant discount of $180 on the latter’s usual price of $1,379.99. You can bring the cost further down with eligible trade-ins, but that’s a different story.
When Samsung opened pre-orders for the Galaxy S23 series in February, it offered a free memory upgrade with all three models and on all colors. Buyers paid for the lower storage option and the company sent them the higher storage variant. The deal was available globally, or at least in most global markets. But unsurprisingly, Samsung ended the promotion following the pre-order period. However, it turns out buyers in the US can still grab the 512GB Galaxy S23 Ultra for the price of 256GB as long as they pick the Sky Blue color.
The latest Galaxy flagship comes in a total of seven colors in the US. These include four standard colors available through all retail channels nationwide (Green, Phantom Black, Lavender, and Cream) and three additional options exclusive to Samsung’s online store (Graphite, Sky Blue, and Red). But this deal isn’t available with any other Galaxy S23 Ultra color, nor with the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+. And since the Sky Blue color is exclusive to the Samsung e-shop, you won’t get a free memory upgrade anywhere else, not even in the company’s brick-and-mortar stores.
