Activision has officially announced the launch date for season 4 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. And if you’re actively playing the game then you know it’s just around the corner.
Season 4 of Modern Warfare II will launch on June 14, which is of course next Wednesday, for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. If you didn’t know by now, Wednesday is generally the launch day for a new Modern Warfare II season. At least it has been thus far and will be for season 4 too. So it’ll likely stay that way for the entirety of the game’s lifecycle. You may have also already suspected that season 4 would be coming June 14, and that’s no surprise as you can easily tell in-game when season 3 ends.
While the date may not have been a surprise for some (or perhaps most who actively play), what is still a surprise is what the theme of the season will be. Although the official Call of Duty Twitter account has given us a hint to some of the season’s details.
Modern Warfare II season 4 will introduce Nikto
With the new season launching next week Activision is bound to share more information on it soon. Probably sometime later today or later this week. For now, though, there is one piece of information about the season.
What appears to be one of its new operators, and a central character in the season’s theme – Nikto. While it’s not confirmed Nikto will be an operator, it’s pretty heavily implied. And almost assured. After all season 3 has revolved around Valeria and Alejandro, both of which were operators you can unlock on the season pass, complete with accompanying skins. So Nikto being a central character to season 4 suggests he’ll be a season pass operator.
In the image shared by the Call of Duty account on Twitter, Nikto is also “bringing company,” and you can see Ghost right beside him. This is all the details about season 4 currently, but it won’t be long before a full breakdown of the changes and content are released.
Nikto is coming and he’s bringing company 😈
