Brand new HONOR foldable seemingly coming on July 12

HONOR will seemingly announce a brand new foldable smartphone on July 12. That info has not been confirmed by HONOR, we’re only looking at rumored information at this point.

A brand new HONOR foldable smartphone is coming on July 12, it seems

HONOR introduced two foldable smartphones thus far, the HONOR Magic V and Magic Vs. The first arrived in January 2022, while the second one landed in the second half of 2022. The Magic Vs even launched outside of China, by the way.

The HONOR Magic V2 will bring a fresh new design to the table, along with a new set of specs, of course. For those of you out of the loop, this will be a book-style foldable.

Based on rumored info, the device will arrive in both Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 variants. It will offer up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

It will include wireless charging this time around

A 108-megapixel main camera will also be included in the package. A 5,000mAh battery was mentioned, along with 66W wired charging, and 50W wireless charging. The HONOR Magic V and Vs did not offer wireless charging at all, so this is a nice addition.

Now, on the HONOR Magic Vs, the main display had a 90Hz refresh rate, while the cover panel offer a 120Hz refresh rate. With the HONOR Magic V2, both displays will feature a 120Hz refresh rate, it seems.

It is likely coming to global markets as well

Do note that this phone won’t launch globally on July 12, though. It will launch in China first, that’s for sure. It may arrive to global markets later on, though.

The global variant of the Magic Vs was announced for global markets about a month after it launched in China. It took HONOR quite a bit of time to start selling it, though. We’re hoping that things will move much faster with the Magic V2.
