Samsung employees are allegedly very critical of the Galaxy Z Fold 5

It seems like Samsung’s very own employees are not very happy with one of the company’s upcoming devices. Samsung employees are allegedly very critical of the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Samsung employees seem to be very critical of the Galaxy Z Fold 5

This information comes from Ice Universe, a well-known tipster. He claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 design is ‘boring’, and that the product caused displeasure with the company’s own employees.

In an additional tweet, he issued a quote, presumably from one of the employees he talked to. The quote follows: “It can’t even be called the Galaxy Z Fold 4s”. Needless to say, this is very critical.

Is it surprising, though? Well, if the rumors end up being true, probably not. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is rumored to be a minor improvement over the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The device will allegedly look very similar to its predecessor, and despite the fact it’ll utilize a new hinge, its crease won’t be much less visible.

New hinge will be included, but it won’t bring much benefit to the table

That new hinge could impact the free-stop mechanism, though, which is not a good thing, of course. On top of that, Samsung could use new camera sensors here, but a major improvement is not expected in the camera department either.

Those are just some examples, based on rumors and leaks. It remains to be seen what the actual device will look like, and what improvements will it deliver. Chances are that the rumors are true, though, as many of them came from reliable sources.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will launch in July, not in August. Samsung decided to move up its launch for this year’s Z Fold and Z Flip devices. The Galaxy Watch 6 is also expected to launch during that event. We still don’t know the exact day, but the launch month has been officially confirmed.
