Google has just announced 4 new features for Chrome on Android and iOS, in other words, for Chrome mobile. All these features are related to tracking down information basically, on improving the process.
Chrome for Android gets 4 new features to improve your search experience
The first feature shows you relevant search suggestions, based on your current search term. Let’s go with Google’s example. If you’re reading an article about Japan, and plan to go there, you can click on the address bar, and you’ll see a new section labeled ‘Related to this page’. Suggestions for other searches will be there, like suggestions for local restaurants, for example.
The second feature allows you to see what’s trending when it comes to Google searches. You can access that info from the Chrome address bar. Open up a new tab, tap the address bar, and scroll down to see what’s trending. This feature will be late for iOS, but it’s now rolling out on Android.
Chrome now also allows you to find related search info in Touch to Search. Touch to Search arrived a couple of years ago, and it allowed you to quickly search for a word or phrase directly from a webpage. Well, now, you can actually find related searches using Touch to Search too.
Touch to Search is now more useful too
How? Well, if you’re reading an article and come across a topic you’re interested in, you can use Touch to Search to get a carousel of related search information. That way, you can quickly learn more about the topic. This is how you enable Touch to Search on Android.
The last feature that just dropped for Chrome mobile allows you to get more suggestions when you search. When you start typing in the Chrome address bar on your phone, you’ll now get 10 suggestions, instead of 6. Needless to say, the most relevant suggestions will be at the very top. This feature is actually already available on Android, but it’s now rolling out to iOS too.
