Ghostrunner 2 returns with fast-paced ninja action October 26

Ghostrunner 2 finally has a release date, and it’ll be arriving October 26 according to an official announcement from publisher 505 Games. It launches for PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Like the original Ghostrunner, Ghostrunner 2 will offer up slices and dices of the same cyberpunk ninja action platforming that hooked players the first time around.

But it will also add in new features to keep things interesting and fresh. A new motorbike feature will allow the game’s main cyberninja protagonist ‘Jack’ to zip into the action all that much quicker. Players will also now get dialogue options to spice up the story a little bit. Though it’s still unclear how this will drive the game’s narrative. If it does so at all.

Of course, there will also be tons of new boss fights. And new enemies, too. But all-in-all it’s not deviating from the formula that made the first game popular. The release date for Ghostrunner 2 also comes at a time where it’s literally packed with other titles to look forward to. October alone contains Assassin’s Creed Mirage on October 5, as well as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on October 20, and Alan Wake II on October 27. Then in the prior month there’s Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and Starfield. Basically, it’s an overflowing season of top titles.

Pre-orders for Ghostrunner 2 are packed with skins

If you like your in-game bonus content then keep an eye on Ghostrunner 2 pre-orders. There’s three different versions of the game you can pick up. The standard, deluxe, and brutal editions. The standard will run you $39.99 and come with two skins. One for Jack’s blade and one for his hands. And as a first-person game his hands are one of the only things you’ll ever see. So it makes sense you can kit them out visually.

The deluxe edition steps it up to additional skins for both as well as a hand hologram with a username. Then there’s the brutal edition which comes with even more sword and hand skins, the season pass for the game (this will normally cost $20), and a skin for the motorbike.
