Nacon's newest gaming headset features dual-mode wireless

Nacon’s RIG brand isn’t as recognizable as brands like Razer or SteelSeries, but it’s new 600 Pro gaming headset definitely makes you stand up and take notice. It’s packed with features that promise a great gaming experience. Such as the dual-mode wireless connectivity. This lets you connect the headset to both a 2.4GHz USB-C dongle for low-latency gaming audio and Bluetooth for connection to mobile devices or consoles like the Nintendo Switch.

However, it isn’t clear if the dual-mode wireless will let you connect simultaneously and play audio from both sources at once though. We’ve reached out to Nacon for clarification and will update this post if we hear back. In addition to the dual-mode wireless, the headset boasts plenty of comfort-focused design elements. For starters, it only weighs 240 grams. and that likely means you can wear it all-day without it feeling heavy or introducing fatigue. Nacon also claims it’s “unbreakable.” We’ve no doubt that it can be broken if you really tried. That being said, Nacon is using a much more pliable type of plastic material for the headband.

And that’s going to help with durability when you need to pull the headset off your head. Or shove it in a crowded drawer. Other features like the snap-fit ear cups and cushiony cloth ear pads help to promote a comfortable fit.

Nacon’s RIG 600 Pro comes in two models

You can snag this new headset when it launches in two different models. The RIG 600 Pro HS or the RIG 600 Pro HX. One is designed for PS5 and PS4, and the other is an officially licensed headset for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. They both also connect to PC, mobile, Nintendo Switch, and other Bluetooth-compatible devices. One major difference though is that the HX model comes with Dolby Atmos for Headphones.

Both also connect to RIG’s mobile app with tons of extra features for managing sound. Such as mic monitoring, a voice booster, equalizer settings and more. And when it comes to battery life, you can expect up to 24 hours on Bluetooth, or up to 18 hours with the 2.4GHz dongle. The RIG 600 Pro will launch on September 18 for $99. It’ll be available from multiple retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop.
