After months of leaks and rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE finally appears to be nearing its market debut. While the company has yet to officially announce its arrival, enough signs are hinting at an imminent launch. The phone has just picked up another key certification, confirming its rumored specs and design in the process.

The Galaxy S23 FE was recently certified by China’s TENAA certification agency. The device is listed with the model number SM-S7110, which is the Chinese version of the phone (it bears the model numbers SM-S711U in the US and SM-S711B in Europe). The listing contains three live photos of the phone showing a design consistent with earlier leaks.

The photos aren’t high-resolution, but a close look confirms the wide display bezels that we previously saw in leaked renders in June. On the back, we have the standard Samsung design language with three cameras aligned vertically and popping out individually from the back panel. An LED flash unit sits next to the cameras. The phone has power and volume buttons on the right side.

TENAA confirms Galaxy S23 FE specs

The TENAA listing goes on to tell us a lot more about the Galaxy S3 FE. It’s a 5G-enabled phone with a dimension of 76.5×158.0×8.2 mm and weighing 210 grams. The handset features a 6.3-inch FHD+ display (2340×1080 pixels resolution) and comes with an under-display fingerprint scanner.

The Chinese agency didn’t name the chipset powering the phone but mentioned its clock speeds. The chipset features a triple-cluster CPU arrangement with clock speeds of 2.99GHz, 2.4GHz, and 1.7GHz. This means the Galaxy S23 FE is getting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, at least in China and a few other markets such as the US. Samsung is expected to ship the phone with its in-house Exynos 2200 in most international markets.

The Galaxy S23 FE will feature 8GB of RAM, paired with 128GB and 256GB of storage options. Coming to the cameras, we are getting a 50MP primary shooter, an 8MP telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. The phone gets a 10MP selfie camera. The whole setup is fueled by a battery with a rated capacity of 4,370mAh. This should mean a typical capacity of 4,500mAh. We are expecting 25W charging support to go with it.

Other rumored Galaxy S23 FE specs include an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, stereo speakers, wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, Samsung DeX support, and Android 13. The handset may cost the same as its predecessor, the Galaxy S21 FE. Considering the recent developments, Samsung may soon take wraps off the new Fan Edition phone.
