Obsidian Black Pixel 8 Pro leaks in first live images

We now have our first leak of live images of Google’s upcoming Pixel 8 Pro. The phone is due to be announced officially at Google’s Fall event on October 4. This leak of the live images (which comes from a Telegram chat) is the latest in a string of recent leaks detailing pretty much everything about Google’s next flagship. From US pricing information to details on specs and colors. And now with a pair of live images, it would seem there’s almost nothing left to the imagination for consumers.

In this particular leak, the live image shows the Pixel 8 Pro in its Obsidian Black color. This is one of three colors that the phone will be available in based on a previously leaked set of renders that showed all three colors for both the Pro and standard models. In addition to the Obsidian Black, the Pixel 8 Pro will also come in Porcelain and Sky Blue.

The Pixel 8 Pro live image leak confirms matte back glass

There’s not a ton of detail included with the leak, but it does offer up two pieces of information about the phone’s design. The black model will come with a matte back glass which, is great for anyone who hates fingerprints and smudges. As they’ll be less noticeable with the matte finish.

The leaker also notes that the frame is polished. You can’t really see the frame but you can see the polished finish on the camera array. So that should give you a good idea of what the frame looks like. There’s also a decent shot of the front of the phone where you can see the bezel of the display in addition to the front camera.

The image also appears to show a screen from one of the menus in settings. With just a week or so left before Google’s big event, pretty much everything is known about Google’s new phones.
