Galaxy S23 and more devices get new One UI 6.0 beta update

It has been just over a week since Samsung released the sixth One UI 6.0 beta update for the Galaxy S23 series, and a new build is already rolling out. The seventh beta build is now available to registered users in Germany, South Korea, the UK, and the US. It bears firmware version ZWJC (last four characters) and brings more bug fixes.

Galaxy S23 series gets its seventh One UI 6.0 beta update

Samsung began public testing of its Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update for Galaxy devices in August. It first released the beta program for the Galaxy S23 series, before expanding it to over a dozen other models, including all recent S-series flagships, Z-series foldables, and a bunch of mid-range devices.

During this time, Samsung has regularly released new beta builds, fixing some bugs from the previous build and improving the system’s stability. The Galaxy S23 series has now got seven beta updates in total, with the last three of them coming within three weeks. The latest release fixes more known issues and bugs.

According to the official changelog supplied by Samsung, Galaxy S23 phones running One UI 6.0 beta are getting a fix for the Quick Panel bug that occasionally prevented it from showing up on the home screen. This update also fixes issues with the camera app, navigation bar gestures, proximity sensor, and more.

Considering the changelogs and the frequency of the last three beta builds for the Galaxy S23 series, the stable update shouldn’t be too far off. Samsung seems to be ironing out any anomalies in the software before pushing it to the public. The rollout may begin as early as this month. We will keep you posted.

Galaxy A52s and Galaxy M23 5G are also getting One UI 6.0 beta

Samsung has offered beta updates for more Galaxy devices this year than in the past, particularly in the mid-range segment. Along with the Galaxy A series, the company has also opened the One UI 6.0 beta program for some Galaxy M and Galaxy F series models. The Galaxy A52s and Galaxy M23 5G are getting it too.

The beta program is currently live for these two models in South Korea and India, respectively. It’s unclear if Samsung plans to expand the availability to other markets. The One UI 6.0 beta for other models is also available in China, Germany, Poland, the UK, and the US. If you’re interested in joining the beta, you can check for its availability from the Samsung member app.
