Samsung’s not missing out on Techtober, having announced the Galaxy S23 FE today, as well as the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ and Galaxy Buds today.
There’s technically three tablets coming from Samsung today. There’s the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE, as well as the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ (which is going to be WiFi only).
The specs for both versions of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE (WiFi and 5G) are essentially the same. However, the WiFi model does come in a 8GB/256GB model. Otherwise the specs include a 10.9-inch LCD display. It’s powered by the Samsung Exynos 1380 processor with the Arm Mali-G68 GPU. It also has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There’s a 8000mAh capacity battery inside as well. Which should keep you running all day long.
Samsung has also included a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera on the front, which is going to be great for Zoom and Google Meet. On the back, there’s a 8-megapixel camera. It also has IP68 for water resistance and dust resistance, as well as a fingerprint sensor in the power key.
The Galaxy Tab S9 FE will come in four colors: gray, silver, lavender and Mint. While the 5G model will only come in Gray.
Then there’s the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ which is basically the same specs, aside from a larger display. It has a 12.4-inch LCD display. It also has upped the RAM and storage here with a 8GB/128GB and a 16GB/256GB model available. It also has a 10,090mAh capacity battery inside.
The new Galaxy Buds FE are an incredible value
Finally, Samsung announced the new Galaxy Buds FE, which marks their first new pair of earbuds in over a year. These earbuds are going to cost you $99, making them the cheapest yet. But these are designed for comfort and shaped to fit. So these are going to be earbuds that you can wear for hours, and still be comfortable. These also offer up ANC, which is pretty impressive for the price point.
Samsung is offering the Galaxy Buds FE in both white and black. However, the case is white for both, and the inside of the black model is black. That’s going to be the only difference with the case. These are rated for 6 hours with ANC on and 9 hours with ANC off. The case will get you 21 hours and 30 hours respectively.
Pre-orders and availability
Samsung actually won’t be doing pre-orders for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE nor the Galaxy Buds FE. They will be on sale starting October 10, here in the US. And starting on October 5 in a few other markets.
