Dragon's Dogma 2 will launch in late March of 2024

Capcom has confirmed a launch date for Dragon’s Dogma 2, its upcoming fantasy action RPG. The game will officially launch on multiple platforms on March 22 of 2024 giving players a few more months to wait before they can dive in.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be available for PC via Steam as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. News of the launch date confirmation was part of Capcom’s dedicated showcase livestream for the game earlier this morning. Which revealed more than just when the game will be playable. The showcase also revealed new screenshots as well as in-game footage of gameplay along with a new trailer.

Some of the new revealed content includes a look at the game’s character creator. Which appears to be a pretty fleshed out set of options that will let you adjust plenty of character design characteristics. Such as the style, size, angle, openness, tilt, tips, and lobes of the ears. You’ll also be able to customize the eyes, hair, or select from a collection of base options in the character creator. Should you just want to jump right in.

The Dragon’s Dogma 2 launch date isn’t until March, but you can pre-order today

The launch may be a few months away but those eager to pick the game up can already do so. As pre-orders begin today for both physical and digital editions of the game. The Standard Edition will be available for $69.99 and the Deluxe Edition will be available for $79.99. The Deluxe Edition will include a few extras as they always do, including various in-game items like a wakestone, camping kit, rift crystals and more.

Capcom doesn’t mention a collector’s edition for the game but that doesn’t mean there won’t be one. Given that the game’s release is still a few months out, it’s possible Capcom is simply waiting until it’s closer to launch before it reveals Collector’s Edition information. It also did a Collector’s Edition of the first game when it launched initially.

That being said, as with many CE versions of games, players should expect one of Dragon’s Dogma 2 to cost at least a few hundred dollars. Though it’s usually worth it if you like having all the extra stuff. Which can include additional in-game content, a steel book case for the game, more artwork, and sometimes statues or other special items.
