There are a lot of great gaming headsets out there, but my absolute favorite is hands down the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless from SteelSeries, which Amazon has a deal on right now that brings the price down to $295.99. The regular price for this headset is $349.99 so you save $54 which is a great deal on a headset this good. I’ve been using this headset off and on since it was released and no matter what headsets I use I always go back to this one.
The main reason is because of the sound quality. The gaming audio on it just sounds so good, and I find it really easy to hear tons of detail in my games no matter what kind of game I’m playing. I can even improve the sound further using the SteelSeries Sonar software. This lets you tweak all kinds of stuff from sound profiles to noise cancellation. The Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is also extremely comfortable. I’ve worn it for more than 5 or 6 hours on tons of occasions and it never gets uncomfortable.
The best features of this headset, however, are the two things you won’t find on most or any other headsets. First, there’s the simultaneous dual connectivity. Now this isn’t entirely exclusive to the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. But most headsets don’t support it. You can connect the headset to two sources and have audio playing from both at the same time. One can be connected using the base station that the headset links to wirelessly, and the other connects to a second device using Bluetooth. I use this to hear game audio from the PlayStation 5, while it’s connected to my phone through Bluetooth so I can chat on Discord.
This is an indispensable feature. The other feature that puts this over most other headsets is the battery. The Arctis Nova Pro Wireless has a hot-swap battery system that lets you keep one battery charged at all times. So when one dies, you swap it out. Then you charge the other one in the base station. SteelSeries also made it so you can swap without disconnecting. As long as you do the swap within 8 seconds or so. This is also hugely beneficial. Because sometimes your headset battery might die during use. $296 is still a little spendy for a gaming headset. But this one is definitely worth it.
