Samsung leads the pack when it comes to circular watches, however, things might change. According to a new report, Samsung might be considering a squarish design for its future Galaxy Watches.

Samsung could be considering a squarish design for future Galaxy Watches
Right now, this is very much a rumor. So, when Samsung eventually announces the Galaxy Watch 7, don’t be surprised if you see a circular design. However, according to an exclusive report by SamMobile, it appears that Samsung is enthusiastically floating the idea of a squarish Galaxy Watch around internally. It is currently in the idea stage. Since it is only being floated around, then there’s a chance that this will not happen anytime soon.
We are several months away from when we expect to see the Galaxy Watch 7. Be that as me, we are fairly certain that this device is already in mass production. So, if Samsung is just now floating the idea around, then we may not see this until at least the Galaxy Watch 8 if the company decides to go through with the idea.
If so, then the Galaxy Watches might look familiar
There’s no doubt that, if Samsung goes with a squarish watch design, it will very much resemble the Apple Watch. Apple’s smartwatches have long defied the trend of circular smartwatches, and it’s been working for the company. Rather than resembling actual timepieces, Apple Watches have developed an identity all their own. This is why so many companies emulate this style.
If the future Galaxy Watches take on a squarish design, then many people will liken them to the Apple Watch. Obviously, Samsung does not want that to happen. So, we’re going to have to see what the company does.
