Leaked Galaxy F55 promo images show premium leather back design

Samsung recently revealed that its upcoming F series premium mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy F55, will be a rebranded variant of the Galaxy C55 launched in China last month. The Galaxy F55 will soon make its debut in India. The company has already posted a few teasers for the phone on its social media handles in the country. As we wait for its launch, the phone’s promo images have leaked to showcase its sleek, vegan leather design.

Galaxy F55 promo images leak ahead of launch

The Galaxy F55 appears to be a direct rebrand of the Galaxy C55. We don’t have spec details but Samsung is unlikely to change anything. It isn’t changing anything on the outside. The phone has a vegan leather back with a stitched design pattern along the left and right edges. Like the C series phone, the Galaxy F55 will also come in Orange and Black colors. The company is currently teasing the former in India, calling it “a vibrant shade of Apricot Crush.”

Samsung’s teasers for the upcoming F series phone are focused on its design. After all, you don’t see a leather finish on many Galaxy devices. Leaked promo images shared by renowned X tipster Evan Blass give us a better look at the handset. The Orange variant has a golden finish on its frame, buttons, and the three camera rings on the back. The Black variant’s camera rings also have a golden hue but the frame is black, including the buttons.

Overall, the Galaxy F55 looks stylish and might feel premium in hand thanks to the leather back. We have some reservations over its front design, though. Samsung should have made the bezels slimmer. That said, the Galaxy C55 itself is a rebranded Galaxy M55, so we can see why the company didn’t go all in with the design. The M series phone is available widely, while the C variant is limited to China. The Galaxy F55 may be exclusive to India.

An identical pricing as the Galaxy M55

Since the Galaxy M55 and Galaxy F55 are identical phones with a vegan leather back on the latter being the only difference, Samsung reportedly plans to price them similarly in India. The 8GB+128GB variant will cost ₹26,999, the 8GB+256GB variant will cost ₹29,999, and the 12GB+256GB variant will cost ₹32,999. The F series phone will be sold exclusively through Flipkart. Stay tuned for the official launch, which might happen in the next few days.
