Motorola's Moto G45 "premium" design and key specs leaked

Motorola is all set to announce the Moto G45 as its latest mid-range smartphone. The device will arrive next week in India (August 21) and is expected to reach more markets later. However, a big leak has revealed both the design and key specs of the Motorola Moto G45. Recent reports suggest that the company will also launch a Moto G35 5G.

For a while now, Motorola has been betting on offering a “premium” look even in mid-range devices, and the Moto G45 will be no exception. Of course, it won’t feature the materials you’d find in a flagship phone. However, its look and feel will make it look like a more expensive phone than it actually is.

Latest Motorola Moto G45 leaks show its design and key specs

Arsène Lupin (@MysteryLupin on X) shared leaked marketing material of the Moto G45, confirming what it will look like. According to the images, the phone will be available in at least three colors: blue, green, and magenta. The company will implement a vegan leather rear cover that not only looks great but will help with better grip. Like other modern phones, the G45 will have flat sides with a shiny finish, though it will likely be made of plastic.

The leaked images also confirm some technical specs of the Moto G45. The device will pack a 5,000mAh battery and a 50MP dual rear camera system. It will also feature some water resistance, though it most likely won’t be submersible. Plus, there’s a side-mounted fingerprint reader integrated into the power button. Unlike other phones, the Moto G45 retains a 3.5mm audio jack, which is good news.

Recently, the Moto G45 was spotted on Flipkart with even more key details. According to the product page, it will be built around a 6.5″ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s a layer of Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip, assisted by 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. A pair of stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support will be present too.

Motorola will integrate a “Smart Connect” feature and a dedicated security system on the Moto G45. Lastly, the device would cost around INR15,000 ($180/€160) in India.
