One UI 7 was delayed indefinitely

It’s a sad day for Samsung Galaxy phone users. We’ve been waiting for Samsung to unveil the beta for One UI 7, but the company has pushed the launch date back until sometime this month. Well, according to a new report, it’s worse than that. Samsung has delayed One UI 7 indefinitely.

Originally, the beta for Samsung’s latest build of Android was supposed to have already been out. We’ve been seeing a ton of leaks of what the interface could look like, so we were wondering if it’s in some sort of usable state. However, the first delay dashed that dream already. The company even said that this delay was because of One UI 6.1.1.

One UI 7 was delayed indefinitely

Whatever the reason, Samsung fans will not like this news. If everything went to plan, we would have expected to see the official One UI 7 release not too long after Google released Android 15 to the Pixel phones. But, the way it’s looking now, we shouldn’t expect to see it anytime soon.

This news comes to us from two reliable sources on X.com. Ice Universe said that Samsung has “no plans to launch [the beta] in the near future.” Next, Chun Bhai mentioned that it “Has been delayed indefinitely last week.”

Right now, we don’t know what the cause of this delay is, but it’s never a good thing when a company suspends something indefinitely. There’s no telling when people are going to get their hands on the beta let alone when the public is going to get the stable version.

According to the leaks and rumors, One UI 7 is going to be a massive overhaul of the UI. We’ve seen images of the gallery app and camera app icons which contrast what we have now. Also, we got word that the company is also working on improving the animations across the interface. So, Samsung might be having trouble with getting this whole revamp done in time for the release. Hopefully, we get an ETA for this beta soon.
