Samsung is expanding Circle to Search to Galaxy A series phones and S series tablets
Samsung announced the expansion of Circle to Search to more devices on its website a few hours ago. The feature will soon be available for the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A54 smartphones. Apart from the mid-range phones, Samsung is also expanding Circle to Search’s availability to a handful of Tab S series tablets.
Apart from the aforementioned phones, Circle to Search will be available for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series line of tablets. The series consists of three models including the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, Tab S9 FE+ (review), and Tab S9 FE 5G. On these devices, Samsung users will be able to take advantage of the Galaxy S Pen to Circle and Search.
According to Samsung’s announcement, Circle to Search will be expanding to the above-mentioned phones and tablets starting August 22nd. As of now, the tech giant hasn’t revealed how this feature will be enabled on these devices. It’s not clear if it will be enabled remotely or will arrive via a software update. Also, the brand has noted that the availability of the feature may vary by device model and market.
Circle to Search is the most popular among all Galaxy AI features
Samsung has previously revealed that Circle to Search is the most popular among all the Galaxy AI features. The company originally introduced the functionality with the Galaxy S24 series of flagships in January. It eventually made its way to the Pixel 8 (review), before reaching the Galaxy S series, Z series, and Google’s older Pixel models.
For the uninitiated, Circle to Search lets you circle, highlight, or tap anywhere on the screen. And then, select the text, photo, or video you want to search. Over time, the feature has continuously evolved to support more functionalities.
Some of the noted newly added features include full-page translation, homework help, and QR & barcode scanning abilities. Thankfully, the company isn’t keeping them limited to the flagship phones and expanding the availability to mid-range devices.
