Apple announces new Black Titanium Watch Ultra 2

While a big focus of Apple’s event this morning was on the Watch Series 10 and the new iPhone, Apple had a little something up its sleeve for the Watch Ultra 2 enthusiasts in the form of a new color option.

Apple launched the Watch Ultra 2 last year but when it was first released, it only came in one color – Natural. Now it comes in a new Black Titanium finish which adds a new level of striking style to your wrist. The new color won’t officially launch until later this month. However, you can already pre-order it and be prepared for when it hits store shelves. All without ever having to leave your home to pick one up because it can be delivered right to your door.

The new Black Titanium Apple Watch Ultra 2 carries the same matte finish as the original color. You can also choose from a variety of bands to go with the watch. However, sticking with the black Milanese loop might look the best. Black bands tend to look better with black watch cases after all.

Apple will sell the new Watch Ultra 2 color for the same price

Sometimes with new smartwatch colors, or just new colors of tech devices in general, the price can increase. This is because sometimes the new color is considered a “limited edition” product. That won’t be the case with the Apple Watch Ultra 2. It’ll still be $799.99 like the Natural color option that you can already buy.

For those seeking the new color to replace their old one, or those seeking to pick up their first Apple Watch, you won’t have to worry about any premiums here.

Pre-order today, available starting September 20

As mentioned pre-orders begin today for the new color, but it won’t be available until September 20. That being said, you can probably expect to receive your new Watch Ultra 2 in Black Titanium either on September 20 or just before that date.

When it comes to features, there’s nothing really new here since it’s not a new model of the watch. That means you can expect to get up to 36 hours of battery life normally. If you put the watch into Low Power mode that goes up to 72 hours. One of the new features that Apple did announce (which is also coming to the Watch Series 10), is Sleep Apnea detection. There’s also a new Tides app, offline maps, and updates to the Training Load.
