TECNO and GEEKOM introduce a tiny yet mighty gaming PC at IFA 2024
It’s not every day you see something as incredibly unique as the MEGAMINI Gaming G1 from TECNO, which is why we have awarded it the Best Of IFA 2024 award here at Android Headlines.
Gaming PCs can be pricey machines and the most powerful ones are often large. Coming in huge cases with lots of room on the inside for all the components. This is usually so you can fit the larger, more powerful GPUs alongside plenty of cooling hardware to ensure the temperature stays low for sustainable high gaming performance. Things get even pricier if you add water-cooling into the mix. Then there are small form factor gaming PCs. These can be less expensive due to their nature of having an upper limit on what can fit inside.
Although you can certainly sidestep that and add water-cooling to some, depending on the case. These are also usually very high-priced. Enter the MEGAMINI Gaming G1. A joint product between TECNO and GEEKOM that was announced at IFA this week. This gaming PC is true to its name, housing all that raw gaming power in a tiny case that can easily fit on top of your desk. While giving you plenty of surface area to spare.
The MEGAMINI Gaming G1 is the smallest gaming PC with liquid cooling
There are lots of details about this gaming PC that stand out, such as the size. There’s just something about a compact gaming PC that’s enticing. But what makes this gaming PC truly special is that it has liquid cooling. In fact, TECNO and GEEKOM are claiming it’s the world’s smallest liquid-cooled gaming PC. That being said, the liquid cooling definitely drives up the price. It’s currently available on Kickstarter with a starting price of $1,599 for super early bird pledges. It’ll go up by $100 at retail though. And that’s the Intel Core i7 model. If you want to bump up to the Intel Core i9 with more storage, the price goes up further.
But, that’s the price you pay when you have liquid cooling and other powerful components in a PC this small. Aside from the liquid cooling and the 13th Gen Intel chipset, the MEGAMINI Gaming G1 also sports an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU inside, as well as 32GB of DDR5 RAM. You can also get it with 1GB or 2TB of storage depending on the model. On top of all that, it has a HUGE collection of ports for connectivity. Including, six USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, two HDMI ports, OCulink, and quite a few more.
Plus, look at this thing. The case design is stunning and the size only adds to its allure. No matter how you slice it, this is one slick gaming PC that we would love to get our hands on. That, and the fact that it’s jamming so much into a small form factor is why we awarded the MEGAMINI Gaming G1 the Best Of IFA 2024 award.
