Nomad is releasing a limited edition Green Chrome Horween Leather case for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max. This is using a different form of Howreen leather, which is called CHromexcel leather. It’s a much more waxy material that is going to patina much faster than Nomad’s other leather cases. I had a chance to check this out at IFA last week, and it’s very waxy, but it should look amazing after a month or so of use.
The company has also improved MagSafe this year, making it stronger than ever. That’s always been one of the biggest issues with Leather cases, is that the magnet is not as strong since the case is thicker. Nomad has solved that, making it stronger this year for all of your favorite MagSafe accessories.
That’s not all Nomad has to offer for iPhone 16
Of course, Nomad’s usual leather cases, including its modern leather case, leather folio and traditional leather case. All of these have a cut out for the new Camera Control button. Only the leather cases are available for all four iPhone 16 models, while the Horween Leather cases are available for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max only. The traditional Leather cases are now wrapped around the sides, while the Horween Leather cases still sport the soft-touch sides. This also makes the cutouts a bit different on each model.
The Sport Case and Rugged cases are also back this year, in a few new colors. When talking with Nomad at IFA last week, I was told that the Sport case is going to be less glossy this year, and the Rugged Case has also been improved.
Finally, the Magnetic Leather Back is back again. It’ll be available in Rustic Brown and Black in both iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max colors. Still priced at $40.
