2025 should prove to be an exciting year for smartphones. Companies like Samsung are expected to introduce brand-new flagship handsets. In 2025, that will be the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. Now thanks to a new report, it claims that the Galaxy S25 Ultra could actually pack the thinnest bezels amongst all flagship phones.
Thinnest bezels amongst flagships
This tip comes courtesy of Ice Universe, who have in the past proven themselves. According to the tipster, they claim that the bezels of the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be the thinnest. It might even be thinner than devices like the Xiaomi 15 and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The post doesn’t mention exactly how thin the bezels will be, but if it is thinner than the two phones mentioned, it should look quite stunning.
Back in September, renders of the Galaxy S25 Ultra were posted online as part of a collaboration between @OnLeaks and Android Headlines. The renders gave away the potential design of the handset, including the display and its bezels. It’s hard to tell exactly how much thinner the bezels are, so we’ll have to wait until the phone is released to do a better side-by-side comparison against the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Smartphone makers have been trying to find ways to differentiate themselves. This is due to how smartphone tech has kind of plateaued. The gains we’re seeing in performance in the newer chipsets aren’t exactly leaps and bounds better than the previous generation. As such, handset makers have to find new ways of making their devices more appealing.
Thinner bezels are one of those ways. It creates an illusion that the phone’s display stretches edge-to-edge. It also allows companies to make the displays of their phones bigger while maintaining the overall size.

Samsung has yet to send out invites to its next Galaxy Unpacked event. Based on past releases, it’s safe to assume that the event will take place in the early part of 2025.
In fact, recent rumors surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S25 series have suggested that Samsung could host the event on the 22nd of January, 2025. The rumor claims that it will take place in San Jose, California. As with all previous Samsung launches, it will be watchable via a live stream.
