ASUS officially unveiled the latest version of its ROG Flow Z13 back at CES, and now the company is ready to put the device up for pre-order with the actual launch coming soon.
If you’re not sure what the ROG Flow Z13 is, it’s a gaming tablet that runs on Windows 11 and is meant to serve as your main PC at home, but also as an on-the-go gaming device. Not too unlike ASUS’ Rog Ally X, the ROG Flow Z13 (2025) is capable of being your portable gaming device. It has a 13-inch display, however, so it’s more like a gaming laptop than a gaming handheld. There’s also the fact that it doesn’t have a built-in controller.
This device is a lot like Microsoft’s Surface Pro tablets. It has a built-in kickstand and there’s a detachable keyboard to help it look and feel more like using an actual laptop when you want that. It also still has the capability to connect to ASUS’ XG Mobile eGPU, although there will be a new version of the device that either uses a mobile RTX 5090 or a mobile RTX 5080. That being said, those won’t be available till later this year. Whereas the ROG Flow Z13 2025 is shipping very soon.
You can pre-order the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 starting today
If you’re looking to get your hands on this device, there will technically be four models available. The ROG Flow Z13 (2025) starts at a price of $2,099.99 which isn’t exactly cheap. And it’s worth keeping in mind that this is without the new RTX 50-series XG Mobile eGPU. This model comes with 32GB of RAM and it’s powered by an AMD Ryzen AI Max 390 CPU. Additionally, it uses integrated AMD 8060S graphics for the GPU.
The next three versions all come with the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395. These are all essentially just one model. However, there are three variants of it. The difference lies mainly in the amount of RAM. The first variant comes with 32GB like the Ryzen AI Max 390 model and will start at $2,299.99. You can bump up from there to 64GB, which ASUS surprisingly lists at the same cost. Lastly, there’s the variant that comes with 128GB of RAM for a price of $2,799.99.
Obviously, this will get considerably more expensive with the RTX 5080 or 5090 XG Mobile units. But you’ll want one of those if you want beefier performance and maxed-out or close-to-maxed-out game graphics.
Not all variants will be available at all retailers
ASUS will be putting this device up for pre-order at its own store online, but it will also be available from retail partners. That is, depending on which model you go with. According to ASUS, only two variants will be available through its retail partners. The AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with 32GB of RAM and the one with 64GB of RAM. The former will be available through Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo, and Newegg. The latter will only be available through Best Buy. Of course, you can get all of them through ASUS directly if you wish.
It’s also worth noting that the 32GB version of the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 will only be available at Best Buy online, and not in physical stores. ASUS also says that Best Buy will not have the pre-orders. So if you go with Best Buy, you’ll have to wait until it begins shipping.
