Sony is giving the PS VR 2 a permanent price cut

Coming in at $549 ($599 for a bundle), the PS VR 2 isn’t quite a cheap buy. Bear in mind that you’ll also need a console. However, it looks like Sony has a treat for people who are looking into buying this headset.

The company announced in a blog post that it’s dropping the price of the headset a fair bit, which will make it a much more compelling device. The price will drop down to just $399 for the whole set. This includes the headset, VR controllers, and headphones. That’s a 33% price cut.

What’s interesting is that the company is selling the Horizon: Call of the Mountain bundle at the same price. With this one, you get everything along with a free voucher to download the abovementioned game. So, you’re getting a free game along with the headset.

If you’re excited about this, don’t go out and buy it just yet. The price cut won’t happen until sometime in March. The price change will take effect at different dates depending on your region, so you’ll want to keep an eye on the price.
