Summary: Pitaka’s new PinButton case for the Galaxy S25 Ultra adds three mappable NFC-powered buttons to your phone—no app required. It’s still slim, durable and supports wireless charging, making it a rare blend of utility and minimalism.

Pitaka has just launched its new PinButton case for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This is a $69.99 case that will add three additional buttons to your case that are mappable. It is still an aramid fiber case, like the rest of Pitaka’s cases that it already offers.

These three buttons are located on the left side of the phone and can be mapped to do a ton of different things, including opening apps. So you essentially get three Action buttons from a $70 case.

Pitaka does not have an app for this case, instead, these are NFC-triggered buttons. So, when you press the buttons, you are sending an NFC signal to the device. Think of these as NFC stickers that used to be very popular many years ago. So, to set these up, you’ll need to set up a new Routine in the Modes & Routines section of Settings. And in the If section, tap on the plus icon and tell it what you want to happen when this button is pressed. You’ll also need to give the NFC tag (the button) a name.

Pitaka’s Galaxy S25 Ultra case is thin yet durable

Due to these new buttons, the Galaxy S25 Ultra PinButton case is a bit thicker than Pitaka’s other cases. It’s using Aramid Fiber like Pitaka’s other cases, which keeps it relatively thin while also making it durable. Pitaka says that this case is MIL-STD-810H certified. So it is able to provide anti-shock protection. There’s also a raised front lip around the display and the camera (and its rings).

The case itself is only 0.07 inches thick. Which means that wireless charging will work quite nicely with this case on. It’s a great option for those who want to add more functionality to their phone without adding a very bulky case. Because let’s face it, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is already fairly large.
