Summary: Razer has announced a new adjustable laptop stand accessory for gaming laptops. It supports laptops up to 18 inches in size, and has a vented, folding design for enhanced air flow and storage capabilities.

Today, Razer has announced a new adjustable laptop stand, extending its portfolio of gaming accessories and quite literally letting you extend your possibilities for comfort while gaming. Razer has offered several laptop stand iterations over the years.

This new model, however, will be the first one that actually allows you to adjust the height for a more ergonomic setup. If you’re using a gaming laptop as your main PC, there’s one thing that you need to take into account. Unless your laptop is elevated off your desk surface, you’re probably going to end up with a sore neck.

This new laptop stand from Razer aims to potentially get rid of those issues. Of course, that means you’ll need to hook up a keyboard and mouse, but this is a compromise you’ll want to make if it means a more comfortable view of the laptop’s display. As you can more easily get it closer to your eye level. This is as opposed to staring down at the display and having to tilt your neck downward for several hours at a time.

The Razer Adjustable Laptop Stand is not yet available in the US

In a surprising turn of events, Razer’s newly announced accessory isn’t available for purchase. Despite the press release mentioning that gamers can purchase it beginning today, April 8. This is likely linked to the same reasons Razer stopped US sales of the Blade 16 and Blade 18. Though it’s also worth noting that this is just regarding sales in the US, directly from its own online store.

However, it doesn’t appear to be available from retail partners either. Razer also hasn’t announced a price yet. That being said, Razer’s currently available “non-adjustable” stand is $49.99. Honestly, it wouldn’t be surprising if Razer charged the same amount or if it charged more. On the one hand, this is just an adjustable stand. There are no USB ports to speak of or any Chroma lighting. A price of around $50 sounds somewhat reasonable.

On the other hand, it appears higher quality and it has moving parts. So a higher price wouldn’t seem outlandish. When the laptop stand does eventually go up for sale, it comes in two colors. Razer’s signature matte black and Mercury.

Supports laptops up to 18 inches

In terms of compatibility, this is usable with really any laptop. As long as it fits within the size parameters. Razer says it supports laptops that are up to 18 inches in size. The stand itself can also fold down to just 2 inches in height for storage purposes. The folding also allows it to be stored in a bag if you want to take it with you.

The stand comes with vents as well for more air flow. Additionally, you can adjust the tension of the stand depending on your laptop’s weight. So if you have a heavier laptop, you can tighten the tension to make sure things hold.
