Summary: Samsung has moved to a new stage in the One UI 7 beta program. The One UI 7 beta update for the mid-range Galaxy A55 has been officially released.
Although Samsung is behind schedule with the One UI 7 update, it continues its work without slowing down. So far, the South Korean giant has focused on flagship models during the beta process. Now, it is beginning to roll it out for mid-range devices. The One UI 7 beta update has been launched for the Galaxy A55.
Samsung releases the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta update for Galaxy A55
The Galaxy A55 has finally received the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta update. The beta program is currently limited to models in South Korea, and only devices on SK Telecom’s network can install it at the moment. It will also be the only mid-range device included in these beta tests.
Galaxy A55 users who want to try out the update can join the beta program through the Samsung Members app. After joining the tests, users can install the patch by navigating to Settings > Software update.
There’s one more thing to keep in mind. The update will be released in the other countries that are eligible for the beta program in the coming days. However, the US won’t be one of them, as the Galaxy A55 is not officially on sale in the country.
This can be interpreted as the US being unable to participate in the mid-range beta program unless there’s a last-minute surprise. US users who do not want to wait any longer for the new update will need to purchase the Galaxy A26 or Galaxy A36.
Stable One UI 7 rollout to begin on April 10 in the US
Samsung will release the stable Android 15-based One UI 7 update on April 7. In the US, the rollout will begin on April 10. Last year’s flagships will be the first to receive the patch. Compatible mid-range and entry-level devices will have to wait a little longer.
The devices that will get the update first are the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6. The Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5 will get the latest addition in the following weeks. The update will also reach the Galaxy Tab S10 series and Galaxy Tab S9 soon after.
