The YouTube TV app has disappeared from Roku devices
Several Roku users have reported that the YouTube app has suddenly vanished from the homescreen of their devices. The problem seems to be quite widespread, and there’s no word regarding the exact cause of the issue. Affected Roku product users have also posted that even searching or resetting their devices doesn’t bring back the YouTube TV app.
You can still access YouTube TV through the regular YouTube application as a temporary workaround.
Here’s how to fix the problem
Some Roku product users have reported on Reddit that updating their device to the latest firmware version restores the YouTube TV application. So, if the popular streaming app has disappeared from your device, first try checking for Roku OS updates.
If the above-mentioned workaround doesn’t work for you, open the regular YouTube application. Then, go to the left-hand menu and scroll to the bottom, and hit the YouTube TV option to access it on your device.
As of now, neither Roku nor Google has officially announced why this problem is affecting so many users. Perhaps the problem lies in the Roku store with outdated operating system versions.
