Tech City bosses want monorail between Old Street and King's Cross

Silicon Roundabout’s army of tech chiefs are keen to see an overhaul of the area to allow them to move around more easily, according to a survey of 400 tech bosses and recruiters by careers site Dice.
Some 42% of those interviewed called for pedestrian and cycling overpasses - and underpasses - and 26% plumped for a monorail that connects Old Street to mainline stations.
A mobile map of the current network of passages under the roundabout was also suggested.
Notably, the idea of replacing Boris bikes with hoverboards proved more popular than creating a tech work space in the centre of the roundabout.
Shoreditch has been criticised over claims rising rents are deterring entrepreneurs from the area.
The number of start-ups based there dropped by a third to 10,280 in the 12 months to March, according to UHY Hacker Young data.
In June, Boris Johnson approved a £25 million revamp of the area with new cycle lanes and pedestrianised areas due to be completed in 2018.
