Fortnite Chapter 6 is only days away and substantive leaks on what to expect have finally started to drop.
The next chapter of Fortnite will have a Japanese theme and feature the country’s cinematic and cultural icon Godzilla, according to the leaks.
This joins recent rumours Fortnite also has a tie-in with James Cameron’s Avatar movie franchise on the way.
The next season of the game will reportedly be titled Hunters, and will have a new forest biome where the trees are all purple.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1’s main content may have a little more of a struggle keeping players hooked, though, because it will have to compete with Fortnite OG.
Chapter 6 launches on Sunday December 1, but less than a week later (on Friday December 6) Fortnite OG will be released. This is a recreation of the version of Fortnite Chapter 1 from 2017, complete with the original map. It’s a substantive mode that won’t disappear after the usual season-long stint, and will get its own battle pass.
The current season of Fortnite is also a throwback, Chapter 2 Remix. It will end with an in-game concert that begins at 8pm on Saturday November 30.
Chapter 2 Remix The Finale will feature Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice and Juice WRLD, each appearing in a different game world. Rapper Juice WRLD died in 2019, but was known to be a huge fan of Fortnite and has featured prominently in this season, as a tribute to the musician.
A Juice WRLD skin is also available to claim right now, up until the finale event on November 30.
