Fortnite fans have been blasting open bank vaults, bathing in ‘Gold Splash’ energy drinks and decimating other players with rapid-fire assault rifles in the game’s current, crime-fuelled season, fittingly titled Lawless.
Oh, and everyone seems to be cosplaying as Sabrina Carpenter, the latest Fortnite Festival icon. Is it that sweet? I guess so.
But, soon it will be time to put the criminal antics to bed with the arrival of a new season. What’s in store? Well, players could be swapping safes for starships, and rifles for lightsabers, as part of a slightly shorter season based on an epic movie franchise.
If you still haven’t figured it out, here’s all the goss on Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 3.
When does Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 start?
Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 3 is expected to commence on May 2. This is corroborated by the Battle Pass countdown timer, which ends on the same date, indicating that's when the current season will conclude.
How to complete the Baron’s Big Deal quest and defeat Daigo
The buildup for the new season has begun in Battle Royale and Zero Build, which should eventually result in the climax of Lawless. Upon entering either of these modes, players should see a hot pink burst of light shoot up from the Island into the Sky, causing a rift.
A new quest called “The Baron’s Big Deal” leads players to the pink energy source near the river north-east of Magic Mosses.

Here, Daigo is channelling magic to enter something called the spirit realm with Fletcher Kane, a big, bad wolf that players have been investigating (and robbing blind) throughout the season, keeping guard.
Approaching the two characters will tick off the quest, but you can snag a special medallion and pistol by defeating Kane. This will also prompt Daigo to stop summoning the energy from the magic portal and walk away in a huff.
Fortnite dataminers claim the build-up will be in five stages, so expect more quests in the coming days.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 leaks and rumours
According to several high-profile leakers, the Force is taking over Fortnite as Star Wars comes to the popular online game.
The next season will reportedly be shorter than usual and feature a new Battle Pass stocked with roughly four to five Star Wars skins.
The new outfits will reportedly include Qui-Gon Jinn, the Jedi mentor played by a stoic Liam Neeson in The Phantom Menace.
Jinn will also be among six new non-playable characters (or NPCs) that roam around the map.
As usual, the Fortnite Island will undergo a big transformation, with leakers predicting at least three new locations home to three bosses, though it’s unclear if these will be Star Wars villains.
Finally, we’ve also heard that a smattering of Star Wars items and cosmetics will return to the Fortnite Shop.
This won’t be the first time the galaxy far, far away has landed on Fortnite’s doorstep. It’s become an annual tradition for Luke Skywalker and friends to drop into the Battle Royale just in time for Star Wars Day on May 4.
In 2023, fans were treated to Find the Force — a three-week prequel party starring Anakin Skywalker, Padmé Amidala, Darth Maul, and a squad of Clone Troopers. Last year, it was the turn of Leia Organa, Chewbacca, and more classic heroes. We’ve also seen The Mandalorian and Boba Fett blaze their way through the Island in past seasons.
But these crossovers aren’t just for fun — they’re part of a growing alliance. After Disney invested a cool $1.5 billion (£1.1bn) into Epic Games last year, the House of Mouse announced plans for a so-called “persistent universe” inside Fortnite, where players will be able to explore, create, and shop in a Disney-themed virtual playground.
Think Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and even Avatar, all stitched into one in-game theme park, the first phase of which is expected to arrive in late 2026.
