Holly Willoughby has said that she doesnât âunderstandâ why Jack Maynard has been removed from Iâm A Celebrity over a series of offensive tweets.
The This Morning host defended the 22-year-old vlogger during Wednesdayâs episode, saying that he had already âapologisedâ for the homophobic posts that were written six years ago, so didnât see a problem.
âI donât understand this,â she said during a discussion about the show. âWe knew about these messages before he went in. He apologised â I donât understand.â
Alison Hammond then reminded her that there were potentially more allegations against the star, which were yet to surface.

âThereâs more that will come out later,â she said. âItâs unfair that he has had no contact with the outside world.â
According to the Mirror, the social media influencer has allegedly come under fire for a series of messages he sent to a fan before entering the jungle.

A number of Maynard fans have called for viewers to boycott the ITV show after the vlogger was removed just two days in.
Some claimed that as the 22-year-old would have been between 16 and 18 at the time of the posts, he shouldnât punished for mistakes he made as a teenager.
One wrote: âEveryone one makes mistakes as a teenager. Kicking jack out for something he did when he was 15-16 is pathetic.â
Another posted: âGet #BringBackJack trending now!! Those tweets he put out were between mates & 5/6 years ago! He doesnât deserve this!! #JungleJack #ImACeleb #BringBackJack.â
Maynard is yet to comment on his exit from the jungle.
