If there was one camper who grabbed all the headlines in the latest series of Iâm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, it was Lady Colin Campbell.
The socialite and biographer proved a controversial and divisive figure in the jungle, particularly coming to loggerheads with Spandau Ballet singer Tony Hadley and Dragonsâ Den star Duncan Bannatyne.
Then, one morning midway through the series it was announced that Lady C had left the camp on medical grounds. While little else was revealed about her departure, the star had had a fall in camp and was using a special chair to aid the situation.
âI have been suffering from the injury for a week and a half now. To the people that have been voting me, thank you very much,â she said in her hotel interview for the showâs Coming Out special. âIf you did it because you liked me, Iâm extremely flattered and sorry that Iâve had to leave.â
Unable to resist a dig at her least favourite campmates, she added: âIâm delighted to be out of the jungle not because of the jungle but because of the rats that were in the jungle â Duncan Bannatyne and Tony Creepsville.â

Campbell also claimed that the pair âconstantlyâ bullied her during the show.
âThey ganged up against me to shut me down and turn me out. They never gave up on the constant harassment and bullying,â she claimed. âMany people will tell you Iâm the best friend and ally you can have, but cross me at your peril because Iâm an absolute b***h.â
Lady C also hit out at those who criticised her in the press during her time in the jungle (âWho is Lorraine Kelly?â she asked), including Duncan Bannatyneâs girlfriend Nigora Whitehorn who claimed that Campbell went too far in her arguements after an entertaining start to the series.
âWell that was before her millionaire, who Iâm sure she loves totally for himself, started to attack meâ said Lady C. âI hope she will soon become his wife so when she divorces him sheâll clean him out.â
Ouch.
