Soap star Jamie Lomas has confirmed his exit from Hollyoaks â but he teased the door may have been left open for his return as Warren Fox.
Lomas has played Chesterâs resident bad boy for 10 years, but said he is ready to âtry other thingsâ.
Speaking on This Morning he said: âItâs Warren's final week next week and thereâs so many twists and turns in these episodes. Heâs such a fun character to play - playing baddies are the best characters to play on TV.
âI've been very fortunate that Bryan Kirkwood [the show's executive producer] is a huge friend of mine - an amazing person as well.

He continued: âCreating Warren, Hollyoaks have done such an amazing job and Iâm eternally grateful for giving me that opportunity.â
But he appeared to slip up when he revealed that his character wonât be killed off.
âIâm just going to try other things,â he said. âMaybe Iâll go back in time, who knows.â

Picking up on the comment, host Ruth Langsford asked: âDoes that mean youâre not getting killed off then?â
Lomas replied: âWeâll have to wait and see. I think Iâll just give you that.â
Lomas made his first appearance on the Channel 4 soap in June 2006. He left briefly in 2009 after his character faked his own death, before returning the following year. He made a second departure in 2011 and returned again in May 2016.
Fox has been involved in drug dealing, infidelity and served multiple prison sentences.
